KARL WILLIAMS
Karl Williams is the Director of Hartland Psychology Ltd. and a Consultant Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health & Care Professions Council. He is also an accredited CBT therapist and member of the European Association of Psychology and Law. His experience has included working within Central Government for the Home Office and Ministry of Justice and as a head of service within the NHS and other health sector providers. His areas of expertise include Psychologically Informed Planned Environments, Prison Service Therapeutic Communities as well as Offending Behaviour Programmes and community-based Primary Care psychological therapies. For several years Karl worked as a Clinical Lead, designing, managing and evaluating cognitive behavioural and skills based programmes for use in community and custodial settings.
Karl is also a visiting lecturer on the forensic and counselling psychology post-graduate courses at London Metropolitan University and an occasional reviewer for the European Journal of Counselling Psychology. He has acted as a regional advisor for the Central and East of England regions as part of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, National Audit of Psychological Therapies.
His experience of developing high quality interventions to suit both individual and group needs as well as developing and leading psychological services is informed by a public sector project management qualification and he has been a contributor to a number of innovative training products, particularly in the field of cognitive behavioural therapy, therapeutic quality assurance and e-learning.

The company is based in London, though undertakes projects across a number of regions, working, where required, with our network of specialist associates, all experts in their relevant fields. Since time and resources are important to everyone, we seek to offer services that are time limited, based on the best evidence and practice and affordable. For larger pieces of work with organisational clients, we utilise a clear project management methodology in order enhance communication and client satisfaction with outcomes.
